Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course, affectionately known as 'P & K' with its lofty sand dunes hugging the South Wales coast of Porthcawl is situated in a wonderful stretch of golfing country.
Glorious views and historic associations adorn this undulating course with its natural hazard of hillocks, valleys and towering dunes. However serious the game, time must be made to appreciate the panoramic views. The Bristol Channel, the Gower Peninsula, Sker House and the magnificent Welsh Mountains can all be seen from various points.
Unusually for a links course, Pyle and Kenfig is laid out in two loops of nine. The original front nine is where to make a score because the back nine is a very stiff test, especially when the wind is up.
The 11th hole, a 525-yard par five known as the Valley Hole, is where the dunes come in to play - from here on in, it's sheer entertainment. Drink in the view from the 14th tee, a 416-yard par four - the panorama towards the Gower Peninsula is stunning. Pyle & Kenfig's last three holes (all long par fours) are amongst the best closing holes in golf. They will severely test the mettle of the very best golfers.

"George hosted a fantastic round of golf around St Andrews. His coaching was pertinent, useful and probably the best player lesson ever. Thank you 😊"
"I'm so glad I signed up with Scotland for Golf while visiting St. Andrews. David, my instructor, was professional, attentive, and an excellent communicator. The facilities at their establishment were top notch. Since coming back home I can already see improvements in my golf game. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike."
